Last Wednesday's Chinese New Year celebration was an event
worthy of ushering in 2012. The energetic singing and the dancing
brought the audience to their feet. An event like this brings the
UMass Boston community together in a way nothing else does.
The campus welcomed The Zhejiang University Wenqin Arts Troupe
of Beijing, China, and was honored to be included in the troup's
short time slot in their New England college tour. Twenty-four of
the most talented 300 members of the troupe are traveling and
performing with the university dance troupe. They will be touring
the rest of the United States once they leave our chilly city.
The Confucius Institute on campus funded this event in full.
